Why Choose Us for Your Bone Density Scan?
Not all bone density scans are created equal. In fact, studies have shown that over 50% of DXA reports contain at least one error—often due to poor technique, outdated equipment, or lack of proper review. At Endocrine Advantage, we take a different approach. Our Hologic Horizon scanner is rigorously calibrated to ensure clinical-grade accuracy, and our DXA technologist brings over 20 years of experience to every scan. Unlike many facilities where reports are auto-generated and never reviewed by a provider, we personally review every image and interpret it in context—so you get results you can trust. When it comes to your bone health, precision matters—and that’s exactly what we deliver.
What’s Included in Your DXA Report:
Axial Scan (Spine and Hip):
These are the most important areas for diagnosing osteoporosis and predicting fracture risk.
Peripheral Scan (Wrist):
Helpful when spine or hip scans can’t be done or if there are changes due to arthritis or surgery. The wrist is another common site for osteoporosis-related fractures.
VFA (Vertebral Fracture Assessment):
A special spine scan that checks for hidden fractures in the back bones—even if you do not feel any pain.
FRAX® Fracture Risk Assessment:
A tool that uses your DXA results and clinical risk factors to estimate your 10-year risk of a major fracture. It helps guide decisions about whether treatment is needed—even if your bone density isn't in the osteoporosis range.
Osteoporosis scan by DXA
Osteoporosis Scan by DXA – $150
